Throughout the year Beyond Broccoli offers classes, gives lectures, and is involved with various community events. The free monthly Beyond Broccoli Newsletter is a great way to learn about what’s happening. During the busy summer months here in Jackson Hole there are no regularly scheduled Beyond Broccoli classes. Private cooking or small group classes may be arranged any time of year. See the Beyond Broccoli Classes page for more information.

Showing of documentary film: The Sustainable Table
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 6 p.m. at the Teton Science Schools Jackson Campus Pursue Balance, Teton Science Schools, Jackson Whole Grocer, Beyond Broccoli and Slow Food in the Tetons team up to bring an evening of education, food and conversation about issues related to acheiving a more sustainable food system. The film outlines some of the challenges of our industrialized and centralized food system and then some ideas for making a difference on both a community and individual level.
Teton County Family Health Fair
Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. the Health Institute at St. John's Medical Center will organize the fair with activities for the whole family. Beyond Broccoli and Jackson Whole Grocer will join forces to offer a food booth with yummy samples of healthy foods and information related to food and nutrition. This year the blood draws will be done by appointment at St. John's Medical Center through May 2nd. Slow Food in the Tetons Presents: Locavore's Night Out
Tue, May 6, 2008 at the Wildwood Room in Victor, Idaho. Last year this event organized by Slow Food and the Teton Sustainability Project was a huge success. Come learn more about local and regional food producers for Teton County (Wyoming and Idaho). Producers will have booths with imformation and samples. Bill Boney, Chef-Owner of the Wildwood Room, will offer a menu featuring some local fare and regionally produced beer and wine. Connect Retreats Presents: Qi Gong with Nature
Beyond Broccoli has joined the staff at Connect Retreats as a menu consultant and will be presenting nutrition workshops as they relate to various retreat themes throughout the year. Connect Retreats presents Qi Gong with Nature from May 29 through June 1, 2008 at the Murie Center in Grand Teton Park, Jackson, Wyoming. Retreat includes Qi Gong with Lee Holden, hiking, meditation, journaling, delicious, healthy meals, and time spent with nature. Investment is $985 including meals, lodging and activities.
