Beyond Broccoli™ Newsletter
Nutrition-related writing has been part of the Beyond Broccoli mission from the start. A few years ago I began writing a monthly nutrition column for a local newspaper and shortly after I decided to start my own nutrition publication to keep clients and other friends of Beyond Broccoli informed about what is happening in the nutrition world. It has evolved over time and currently includes a few short articles about nutrition in the news, an answer to a question posed by a subscriber or client, a couple of recipes, a featured food, and information about Beyond Broccoli classes, lectures, and programs. It is free and distributed via email.
I routinely subscribe to several nutrition and food publications and it often takes a while for important information to reach the public. Or, when it does reach the mainstream media it is distorted – usually because it is relegated to a sound bite. The Beyond Broccoli “Nutrition Notes” is also brief, but each month it includes my commentary to clarify or put the information into perspective.
